How the day is organised:
- Short presentation of my work and works of other artists to show the approach
- Gesture and brushwork: warm up exercises and preparing a coloured ground
- Observing light and dark : how to make thumbnail sketches
- Preparing a limited palette
- Finding a good composition: using viewfinders, making thumbnail sketches in the garden
LUNCH 12.30 – 1.30 pm
- Use the thumbnail sketches to begin painting in oils
- Development of painting with individual guidance
- Sharing post-painting observations
