Portraits
I paint portraits on commission, oil on canvas or panel. I paint directly from life when its possible for sitters to pose but also from photo or video. Handmade Irish ash frames can be provided if desired.

'The Wonderful Staff of St Joseph's ward, St Colomba's Nursing Home, Thomastown', April 2020', oil on panel, 62 x 48 cm, 2020. This painting was made a a gift and an offer of support to front line workers at the beginning of the Covid pandemic in the Spring of 2020 as part of the artist initiative, 'Portraits for HSE Heroes'. It was shortlisted for the Zurich Portrait Prize 2020 and exhibited at The National Gallery of Ireland and the Crawford Art Gallery, Cork
