The Travelling Sketchbooth, community arts project, Montreuil, France
The Sketchbooth, Community Arts Project was the result of a collaboration between a collective of sketchers in Montreuil in France. Bringing drawing into community events was the objective. We built a mobile sketchbooth, of similar dimensions to a Photo Booth. People could pose for a portrait sketch and the sketch would emerge from the slide down the shute when it was finished. Artists took turns sketching and the variety of styles were interesting to observe.
